Thank you all for another successful Terrific Under Ten Tuesday this week!

Here are a few links I would love to feature today!

Sarah from Snowing in Houston takes a $1 garage sale frame and makes it into this FAB towel hanger. So clever!

Anna from Ask Anna...shared how to make the perfect spring hostess gift. Very original and sweet.

Heart Break Kids made a great message center out of an old wire shelf and odds and ends. I love all the details!

Jennifer from Vintage Gwen made this awesome bracelet from an old necklace and odds and ends also. She's a magician with her jewelry makeovers!

Craft Clean Up

Sorry I've been MIA lately. I decided to tackle the mess piled in my craft room. It was turning into the the catch all room. So on Tuesday, I introduced my 3 year to Moon Sand (a parent's curse but kids love!) and I went on the organization/purge train while he played away.

Today I can actually see the countertops and floor! But when you clean up one mess, then you tend to create piles of other messes...at least for me anyway. So there's still lots to do down there! And that doesn't even include decorating the space to make it look pretty to create in. I'm blessed to have such a great place to work but it's a basement with no windows...so it needs a little sprucing up!

If you are like me, I try to find easy and cheap ways to organize. And yesterday I found the cutest containers to organize my boys' craft area. Why not visit the garden area at your local home improvement store? I found these cute colorful plastic pots for $1.25 each at Menards. Great for keeping the art supplies all in one place. I drilled a hole on the side for easy hanging on a chicken wire frame. They can easily be removed so you can have the container by your side for easier reach.

Got any fun and simple ways to keep clutter under control?

Terrific Under Ten Tuesday #11

Welcome to Terrific Under Ten Tuesday!
A Linky Party for DIY projects, recipes, thrift finds, family projects that you made or bought for $10 or less!

Garage Sale season is here! Each week, I see more and more signs popping up on street corners. I'm so excited to see what thrift finds I can find this year. :)

This weekend I hit up a couple sales and I found this wonderful old tin for $1!

It appears to be an old food tin.
The lid says:
Loverin & Browne Co.
Wholesale Grocers
Chicago

I opened it up and there was a little flour inside (new flour). Don't think I would put food in this anymore...LOL But it looks wonderful to display.

I just love the detail.

I've been debating on painted it or not. So I did a little research online on this Loverin & Browne Company tin. One of my seaches said it's from the 1870's! Another search said these were rare. And someone else had one for sale for $30. So I don't think I'll be painting it anytime soon. :) Not bad for $1!

Now it's your turn to link up to Terrific Under Ten today!

New Goodies and Awards

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend! My weekend was full of fun, food, family and insomnia (since I work nights on the weekends). :)

Now my sleep is caught up and I'm ready to tackle another week. How about you? How was your Easter?

Today, I'm sharing a little of this and a little of that.

My favorite shop is moving! Simply Bungalow is moving on Up to a bigger and better space in Lincoln. And I'm so excited for them! Simply Bungalow is also having a fun giveaway right now.

Last weekend, I visited my favorite shop and left with a few goodies.

I snatched up this fun little bunny.

I love this old mailbox birdhouse.

I have 2 little boys so vintage prints of boys make me smile. I brought home with me a couple fun altered art bookmarks made by Barb from Thoughtful Images Ink. Love them!

Thoughtful Images Ink is also having a fun Giveaway!

I met up for supper with my blog bud, Sarah from All Roads Lead Home last week. When we get together its full of laughs and good times. We closed the place down without realizing it until the employees were moving chairs and tables for clean up. Time flies when you're with a good friend.

Sweet Sarah surprised me with a fun bag of her salt dough blooms and bees.

I just love them spilling out of my old grain scoop. The colors and detail are perfect.
Sarah has an Etsy Store where you can purchase these or other seasonal salt dough bowl fillers. You won't be disappointed with the prices and quality!
Thanks Sarah for your generosity and friendship!

Speaking of Sarah, did you see our announcement for our 1st Annual Bloggers and Fans Gathering?!

Wow! Thank you so much for the great response to Terrific Under Ten this week! A lot of new faces and new projects. Each week gets better and better! I hope you all come back to link up again! I enjoyed having you!

Here are the projects I would like to feature today.

Tammy from Housing A Forest showed how she made this cool Coffee Sack Art. I love the punch of bold color they have and that they are displayed in old windows.

Happy Earth Day! Why not make a fun Earth Day Neckace with your kiddos to celebrate? Pam from Pam's Party Blog shares a step by step tutorial.

Rosettes are the IN Thing these days. Sparkle made a fun Rosette Gift Topper. They are attached to clothes pins for uses even after the present is open.

Megan from Meg and Mum's made over this $4 Chair/Step Stool for her stepdaughter. I think she did a wonderful job on her zebra print painting!

All Things Belle made a super cool pillow from an old wool sweater. Her inspiration was from an Anthropology $118 pillow. She made hers for $10!

Earth Day Projects

Earth Day~April 22

My family LOVES Earth Day! It's one of our favorite days of the year. We celebrate with crafts, food and a trash pick up at our town park. It's something my boys and I look forward to each year.

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. ~Native American Proverb

I found some wonderful DIY projects that you can make from things around the house that normally end up in the trash. I hope this inspires you to make something Beautiful instead of filling up our landfills. :)

Pretty cards made from leftover wallpaper.

Don't throw out those toilet paper rolls. :) I've seen a lot of TP petal projects all over blogland lately.

A fun message center made from a cookie sheet (used of course), leftover contact paper, tin can and bottle caps.

Go through your recycling bin and get out the old tin cans! I love these DIY lanterns!

Homemade notebooks made from scratch paper and leftover scrapbook paper.

So pretty. I love jar projects! Don't throw out those old jelly jars! What a fun vase to hang from a wire.

The same idea can be used for candle lanterns.

How about jar picture displays?! So cool.

Don't throw out those old cereal boxes and get organized!

Make a fun bank with your kiddos out of used plastic containers. My boys love clear banks so they can SEE their money. :)

Don't throw away that old shirt! Make a fun reusable bag. Of course mine would be a I Heart Nebraska one. :)

Discover bottles are so much fun for little kiddos! Another great use out of those plastic containers!

Got any other fun Recycling Projects to share? I would love to hear about them!

Have a wonderful day!

Terrific Under Ten Tuesday #10

Welcome to Terrific Under Ten Tuesday #10!
I'm so excited to share with you a thrifty project made by my mom. She doesn't have a blog but wanted to participate in the Linky Party this week. Thanks mom!

My mom is so creative and thrifty...I had great inspiration while growing up. She's always whipping up projects and crafts that always amaze me!

My mom-Pam, bought this pillow at a thrift store for $1.

She handstitched a tea dyed flag to the front of the pillow.
You can see below how she did an easy x-stitch around the edges of the flag.

And now she has a wonderful outdoor pillow to enjoy this summer!
Don't you love that blue chair? My mom bought this at an auction just recently. Love the color!

Here are the projects I would like to Feature Today:
